Roe Parker is an educator and leader with a focus on the future. He is active in the Oregon Area Progressives and is the founder of Anderson Park Friends, Inc. (APF). He leads the APF Board that increased volunteer engagement to over 1,800 hours in 2017. He increased the number of members from 0 to 105 in a 3-year period.

His political experience was gained as a county board supervisor and leader/staff person in 8 political campaigns-presidential, congressional, state, and local.

As a community organizer, Roe helped pioneer the emergency food pantry and community garden movements in Wisconsin. His memberships included the American Federation of Teachers (former AFL-CIO Member), food cooperatives. Roe works at the WI Dept. of Agriculture. Prior experience is in workforce development and the WI Technical College System.

Roe's highly rated project management and problem- solving workshops were used by small and large businesses for over 14 years at the UW Madison-Small Business Development Center.

Roe Parker has also instructed grant writing courses for over 14 years for Madison College, UW-Oshkosh and the United Way-Eau Claire. His courses have supported over 110 nonprofits and 250 grant writers. Roe previously worked as a grant writer and manager for several multi-million-dollar state and federal government grant programs. Over 14 social service organizations benefited from proposals that brought $1.5 million back from Washington D.C.
